ABOUT THE ARTIST

Having been raised in an Artistic Family, Cathy was introduced to art at a very early age. Many of her childhood memories involve painting, drawing still-life, attending art shows and festivals, as well as many hours in museums with her Father. She began painting again 25 years ago and then became a full-time painter 3 years ago in retirement. Having the ability to express her thoughts through oils has been very rewarding. Working mainly through photographs, Cathy shot the reference photo for this painting on the Back Country Trail in Orange Beach, AL when she saw a line of trees and depth that caught her eye. She has been donating to Art From The Heart for over 20 years.
