ABOUT THE ARTIST

Dani Dyar Parmar is the Children’s Program Director at Studio By The Tracks. She is also an instructor in our Adult Program and the facilitator of the Studio’s Art Garden Program. Dani is a visual and movement artist that has in recent years immersed herself in the magical world of botanical arts, making and creating with a variety of techniques using farmed and foraged plants. In addition to working with SBTT Studio Artists, Dani helps to facilitate creative expression through visual art and creative movement with folks who are directly affected by homelessness or incarceration with InToto Creative Arts. This piece was created using homemade black walnut ink, thanks to the Studio’s ever-generous neighbor and friend, Debbie Thompson, who supplied the black walnuts from which this ink was created from a tree in her yard.
